The GK Dragonettes will take the stage at 1PM on Saturday, January 30th at North Quincy High School in Quincy, MA to celebrate the Lunar New Year.
This year’s event still includes free live entertainment, along with a new karaoke session featuring a DJ in the auditorium. There will be a New Year market inspired by the night markets found in Asia, which will feature retail vendors selling traditional goods for New Year and crafts from local artists and businesses.

The August Moon Festival will be Sunday August 17th, 2014 11AM-5PM on Hancock St by Quincy Center. The event will be co-chaired by Pat Small, Kim Chan, and Frank Poon. The festival is a community event filled with vendors, food trucks, games, and activities for children. There will be performances held throughout the day, featuring a Lion Dance at our opening ceremony at 11AM. The event is great for families and to get to know the Quincy Community.
What a great crowd and a great time at North Quincy High School this past Sunday for the Quincy Lunar New Year Festival. Luckily, it didn’t snow that much the night before so the show was able to go on as planned.
It was a lot of fun. The GK lions along with the lions from Wah Lum Kung Fu Academy paraded down to the stage with the GK Dragon following.

The 24th annual Lunar New year festival transformed North Quincy High School on Sunday. Paper cranes and streamers hung in the halls, a paper dragon wound its way down the staircase in the atrium, and the gymnasium housed a fair featuring vendors, sustainable living demonstrations, and live performances.
